A

How to choose the appropriate frequency of an ultrasonic cleaning?

For cleaning application, the frequency performance of ultrasonic energy can be described as,

Low frequency, the impact more stronger;

High frequency, the penetration ability is better.

Could use the broom to do metaphor,

Low frequency - like a large and hard plastic broom, for the large size garbage clean up very quickly;

High frequency - like a thin and soft brush, for the small size of dust clean up very clean, and will not wear the surface.

Different ultrasonic frequency specifications are like many sizes of brooms available for selection.

The following are some application examples of different ultrasonic frequencies, for reference only.

25KHz or 28KHz, the metal parts cleaning;

40KHz, the glass cleaning;

68KHz, the electroplating of metal parts cleaning;

133KHz, the electroplating of quartz glass cleaning;

300KHz or 1000KHz, the wafer cleaning, etc.

How to choose the appropriate output power of an ultrasonic cleaning?

The power specification is consider by the area and volume of the vibration tank. Here are the experience parameters for calculation and reference.

[1] The recommended power factor by area:      

     0.5W~1.0W/c㎡.

[2] The recommended power factor by volume:

     11.5W~25W/L.

[3] The power specification of a cleaner can be calculated based on the max. power of the oscillator and the number used. Furthermore, if it is calculated in terms of power consumption, it is generally the 70% of the max. power to achieve the best results.

How to judge the working quality of an ultrasonic vibration tank?

This is a very complex issue, and there are many factors. In short, there are  two ways.

One method is to judge whether the processing effect can meet the requirements of use.

Another method is to use an ultrasonic pressure meter to measure the ultrasonic intensity. Comparing the values with and without loading work pieces, the less the difference, the stronger the processing power.
